Never use water or chemicals to clean your EGG. The ceramic is porous and will absorb the water and chemicals, damaging the EGG. Simply close the lid after use and allow the temperature to rise, burning off any remaining food residue and grease.
At the beginning of your next braai, use the ash tool or a wire brush to remove any left over residue on the grill.
Simply wipe the outside ceramic surface with a damp cloth to clean.
